The Tempest is founded in the heart of Ellsworth, inside a small studio full of history.  Our owner and first artist Jaille (pronounced Jaylee) began her tattooing journey in this very building as it had always been known as Tom's Terrific Tattoos.  She was given the honor of taking the reigns as Tom retired from his chair and decided to set down his machines.

Over the years, she has focused on learning many different styles, studying under Jaime Parent and Tom Murphy, and plans to continue to learn from other artists to keep growing in this ever changing industry.  She has found that no matter the size, detail, or simplicity of the tattoo, every single one of them are just as important as the next.

Newly licensed Hailey Rudy is our second artist who has a new age approach to composition and style, focusing on fine linework and personalized pieces as she works through her apprenticeship!  She has been studying the tattoo industry for years and has worked hard committing to her career path.
